Nampa Junior Music Festival

We host the Nampa Junior Music Festival each year following the guidelines found in the Federation Festivals Bulletin: A Project of The National Federation of Music Clubs

Our Fall Festival features entries in Piano Duets and Ensemble Events, American Patriotic and Folk Song Event, and Hymn Playing Event. The Fall Festival is generally the first Saturday of December. Deadlines for teachers entering students is usually early/mid October. Teachers must pay membership dues to Nampa Musicale and NFMC before they can enter students.

The Spring Jr. Music Festival is held the first Friday and Saturday of March featuring Piano Solos, Concertos, Theory Tests, all Voice, String and Woodwind Events. Friday is held at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. Saturday's events are held at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. The deadline for entering students into the Spring Jr. Music Festival is usually the beginning of December.

Students dues (as of May 2013) are $15.00 for the first event they enter. This includes the cost of National and State Dues, certificates, the gold cup they will eventually earn with the plaque engraving, and adjudication costs.
The second event they enter is $12.00 (they only have to pay for national dues once).
The theory test is $9.00.

We are currently using the 2014-2015-2016 NFMC Bulletin for our upcoming Fall Festival in 2013. The Bulletin is available for purchase at Dunkley Music or Dorsey Music.
