To open our 2011-2012 Musicale season we held our Fall
Social at the First Presbyterian Church in Nampa, Idaho
featuring beautiful music by member, Robyn Wells McDonnell and guest violinist,

In October we had a workshop on using duets in our studios and creative teaching techniques.
We held two festivals: a Fall Festivals with duets, hymns, folk
and patriotic music and the Spring Festival featuring piano solos, theory test,
and all other events. We had almost 500 entries between the two festivals.
In January, we held our Founder’s Day Luncheon at the Ruth
Lane LDS church building. We enjoyed a spring fashion with styles from Dress
Barn and musical entertainment featuring piano duets from students of Cheryl
Beymer and flute and piccolo numbers from a student of Carol Sue White.
In February, we held our second Nampa Music Idol 2012. It
was a great success as an event, but a failure as a fund raiser. It was a lot of work and fun to award
students from 3-8th grade prizes, but not at the cost of raising
money for our main objective as a club which is the Music Awards for 7th-12th
graders.
Music Awards were held the week after Spring Festival. We
awarded $1,170.
In April we held a small spring business meeting. We
discussed ideas for different fund raisers, voted to access monies in our CD
early if needed for Music Awards in 2013 and voted to move some money into a
liquid savings account when the CD terms came up in 2013. We lost our
treasurer, Michelle Williamson to a move and gained Deanna Beames as our new
treasurer.
